Her-Place Charitable Trust, are pleased to announce Breast Cancer Care support and advice for “BREAST CANCER AWARENESS MONTH”, October

During Breast Cancer Awareness month trained staff will be aiming to measure you accurately for your bra size.We will then check in with you to see if you’ve had your latest breast screening. We will then support you to book an appointment and signpost if necessary. Literature will also be available to support you. Wearing the correct size bra is very important for breast-health, so we offer a range of ‘pre-loved’ bras for you to take away.

Staff from the BREAST SCREENING UPTAKE SERVICE may also be present on the day, checking your eligibility criteria and booking you in for screening appointments.

Debbie Sharred (Wellbeing Coordinator), commented: “This is a fantastic opportunity for local women to check/monitor their breasts and, hopefully, overt any health issues in a timely manner. Without wanting to sound too melodramatic, early intervention and detection has been proven to save people’s lives! Regular checks are invaluable.

They will also be able to find out more about our newly launched services and also what other local agencies have to offer.

Her-Place prides itself on listening to the community in which we are based, so this will be an ideal opportunity to come and have your say and help us structure our services”

We look forward to meeting you all for healthy and interesting conversations!!
